Our Aqua Ultraviolet sterilizers are easier to use than the competitions, and they offer a longer lamp life – 14 months over about 9 months for the competition.
- Our Aqua Ultraviolet products are generational. They keep parts and supplies for all models, and the parts will always work within the generations.
- Our Aqua Ultraviolet high-powered units are compact. The competition’s are larger and need more space for installation.
- Our Aqua Ultraviolet lamps are rated at the end of life, not at the beginning.
- Aqua Ultraviolet initial testing is performed in-house and field tested, and then results are verified by independently laboratories. Therefore, the testing is fair and unbiased.
- Aqua Ultraviolet products come with Technical support people help with installation questions and other inquiries.
- The Aqua Ultraviolet technical support staff has even assisted consumers with competitors products
- At Aqua Ultraviolet a live person is available Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

All UV dosages are at end of lamp life (EOL) of 14 months (UV dosages are much higher at start of lamp life).
All UV's are most effective after mechanical filtration and when water is drawn from bottom of pond at opposite end of where returned.
*As sterilizer (for crystal clear water) UV dosage is 30,000 µw/cm² (EOL) at max flow rate.
**Salt water gallons based on higher UV kill rate (targeting free floating parasites, i.e., Ich) and 3-5 tank turns per hour.
***As clarifier, water clarity dependent on amount of sun, local temperatures, plant coverage, shallowness of pond, etc.
"SL" UV Systems: Higher UV dosages per watt.
SL Series models (SL 100,200) use hybrid lamps that are 2-3 times higher in UV radiation output than low pressure.
Viper Series models (400, 800, and 1200) use a propietary lamps to produce free radicals and higher disinfection.
NOTE 1: 57 and 114 units offer great UV output in compact package. Only 26 1/4" long without wiper, 28" long with wiper.

The bottom line for a UV user is performance. In other words, how much UV output and at what flow rate. Aqua Ultraviolet, with 27 years of UV manufacturing excellence, is unsurpassed in delivering high UV output and high flow rates, while also delivering superior quality, design, construction, features, lamp life, warranty, and customer service. One of the key factors is the UV lamp. Our lamps are manufactured and rated for high UV output and high flow rates to "end of lamp life" of 14 months, guaranteed. While UV's are rated by input watts, using this as the factor to compare different manufacturer's models does not result in an "apples to apples" comparison. Compare our "end of lamp life" UV output to any of our competitors' "beginning of lamp life" UV's and you'll see that our units outperform -- you'll also find that in many cases a lower input watt rated Aqua Ultraviolet UV will meet or exceed a competitor's higher input watt rated UV unit. For example, since Aqua Ultraviolet and three competitors have 25 watt input rated units we can perform an output comparison with the following results:
