Cerapore ceramic microporous filter material for biofilter
Cerapore is made of pure ceramics, fired at high temperatures. It is free of residues and can be used in fresh and saltwater aquaria. It has a giant surface, that is structured in a way, that the pores cannot block and stay free in the long term. This guarantees highest amount of usable surface and highest filter capacity on a small volume. The big diameter of the cylinders fasciliates the creation of anaerobic zones inside of the material for the removal of nitrate. 1 Liter in enough for a 200 Liter ( 50 Gallon) fresh- or saltwater aquarium. Cerapore can be used in a trickle filter or submerged. If used submerged, the creatio of anaerobic zones for nitrate removal is fasciliated.
Cerapore 1 Liter box
It is produced from pure ceramic fired at high temperature and is free of residues so it can be safely used in fresh and salt water aquaria. Cerapore has an enormous internal surface area that is fully available for bacterial colonization, and its open pores are so formed that the media is non-clogging and stays clear, even under long term use. This results in high biological waste reduction rates in a very small volume. Cerapore may be used in trickle filters or in submerged filters. When used submersed, anaerobic areas may be formed in the center of the media, which may help with nitrate reduction. Under ideal conditions, 1 liter of Cerapore will filter 200 liters of fresh or saltwater aerobically. |
